As OTLE evolved into a podcast-driven format, I directed the visual system that kept the brand recognizable, scalable, and engaging across long-form episodes, clips, Shorts, thumbnails, and member content.
Role
Creative Production Director / Art Director
I oversee the visual direction for Off The Left Eye content, including thumbnails, motion graphics, title treatments, branded assets, episode packaging, and the overall visual tone of the channel. My role is to help translate abstract ideas into clear, engaging visual experiences while maintaining consistency across a high-volume content pipeline.
Creative Challenge
The channel often deals with complex ideas: spirituality, theology, consciousness, the afterlife, biblical interpretation, and symbolic meaning. The visual system needs to make those ideas feel approachable without making them simplistic, and compelling without becoming sensationalized.
The goal is to create visuals that support curiosity, clarity, and emotional engagement while staying aligned with the voice and mission of the brand.
Visual Direction
The visual system combines clean graphic design, expressive thumbnails, motion graphics, atmospheric imagery, and consistent branded elements across long-form episodes, clips, shorts, and member content.
Key priorities include:
Maintaining visual consistency across a large library of content
Creating thumbnails and title treatments that communicate curiosity quickly
Using motion graphics to clarify abstract or symbolic concepts
Supporting audience engagement through strong visual packaging
Balancing spiritual subject matter with accessible, modern digital design
Execution
The system includes thumbnail design, episode graphics, motion sequences, quote treatments, title cards, branded templates, and recurring visual patterns used across multiple content formats. These assets help the channel maintain a coherent identity while supporting consistent weekly production.
Outcome
Maintained and evolved the visual identity of a long-running digital media brand
Supported consistent weekly production across long-form episodes, clips, shorts, and member content
Helped translate complex spiritual and philosophical topics into accessible visual storytelling
Contributed to a multi-channel content system generating 2.5M+ views and 492K+ watch hours over the last year
